Detailed account of brutality of the Nazis Harrowing but necessary reading Just appalling how man can behave when allowed to do his worst The German nation at the time were all guilty

The truth is always worse than fiction amazing anyone survived to tell the world of the worst times of human history not exaggerated nor watered down a story of hope and resilience against all odds a tale of heroes written by one simply written but has a terrific impact on the reader a must for anyone seeking the truth about such a dark chapter of history

Excellent but horrific but only 4 stars due to some poor translation eg using the word insensible instead of insensitive Better proof reading reuired However this book was graphic & at times I had to stop reading I’ve recently been to Auschwitz Birkenau & it’s incredible that anyone could survive there

ths book is a hard read but the priest although having lived through all the horrors of the many prisons and concentratiin camps maintains his faith and humanity He shows that in such horrific circumstances a small word or act of kindness can change so much Well worth reading for a different view of the Holocaust
